Cancellations and refunds

What you pay for

Some tournaments are paid in the app. You then pay the organiser of the tournament, usually a padel club. EffePadelle handles the payment through our payment partner Stripe. Stripe passes the amount on to the organiser, and EffePadelle keeps a service fee of about €1 per player. You see the total and how it is made up before you pay.

The tournament does not take place

If the organiser cancels the tournament, or it does not start because too few players joined, you get the full amount back, including the service fee.

You cancel yourself

• Up to 48 hours before the start: you get your money back, minus EffePadelle's service fee.
• Within 48 hours of the start, or if you do not show up: no refund, because the courts have been rented for you. The organiser may decide otherwise, for example when someone takes your place.

Someone else paid for you

If one person paid for the whole group, a refund goes to that person, under the same rules.

Paid twice or by mistake

If you paid twice or the wrong amount, you always get the excess back in full.

Withdrawal period

A tournament is a leisure activity on a fixed date, so the statutory 14-day withdrawal period does not apply. Cancellations and refunds follow the rules on this page.

How to ask

Email support@effepadelle.com with your name, the tournament and its date. You hear from us within 5 working days. A refund goes back through Stripe to the payment method you used and usually reaches your account 5 to 10 working days later.

Organisers

An organiser who wants to refund a player emails us. We refund through Stripe and take the amount back from the organiser's payout.
